Description
This set of recordings were made in 2003 by Franklyn Sills and the Karuna Institute.
They are being made available now as a resource for those studying in the field and interested in the development of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy. The recordings complement an existing, later set (Available on Whole Being Films).
Leading BCST teacher Katherine Ukleja, who was trained by and worked alongside Franklyn for many years, has this to say about these recordings:
Franklyn was one of the greatest innovators in the sphere of Craniosacral Therapy.
He named his masterful model of this profound, gentle-touch therapeutic modality,
Craniosacral Biodynamics. This approach focuses on the Potency, the power within
the motion, in contrast to the subtle rhythmic motion of the Primary Respiratory
Mechanism as described by WG Sutherland. It took many years to hone his ideas
and skill set to meet the myriad functions of the Potency of the Breath of Life. I was
fortunate to teach alongside him at the Karuna Institute during this evolution.
Hence, I was delighted to hear that Whole Being Films are planning to release a set of
videos from Karuna in the early 2000’s. These videos are a record of Franklyn’s
journey towards the final destination; they show how his understanding and
methodology expanded in the creation of Craniosacral Biodynamics. They are an
inspiring resource for dedicated practitioners as well as budding teachers in our field.
