Healing Early Developmental Trauma THE COMPLETE SERIES: MODULES 1-13 with Myrna Martin MN, RCC, RCST®
This remarkable video training series and associated notes are for those new to Prenatal and Perinatal psychology as well as those with some experience of this important field. The recordings by leading trainer Myrna Martin are concerned with healing challenging early experiences – how to understand your own life and work with others in a professional setting. This series will help support your work and relationships with families, babies, mothers, toddlers, teens and adults.  OVER 70 HOURS OF VIDEO, HUNDREDS OF PAGES OF NOTES. Support, connection and notes will be supplied on purchase. Also: you will be sent access to the stream of the first module when you choose the memory stick option – to start your training immediately.

The video series synthesizes the content and curriculum of leading pre and perinatal psychology practitioner Myrna Martin’s 3-year professional in-class Pre and Perinatal training, a program she has taught for 17 years.  After having had many students tell her how profoundly the vital knowledge learned during their training had impacted their personal and professional growth, she wanted to be able to find a way to share it with a wider audience around the world who would otherwise not be able to attend the trainings in person, but could benefit tremendously.

The finished product contains 12 modules of video, slides with audio explanations, course notes, research, practical tools, home projects, and references. It will also include a bonus Module 13 on Sand Play and Expressive Arts in Pre- and Perinatal Psychology and 12 group monthly support calls*.

1-5 recommended for those new to the field of Pre and Perinatal Education.

MODULE ONE: ATTACHMENTEarly Developmental 1

This module covers the attachment process from preconception (epigenetics) through age 2. Primary themes are connection/separation. the new understanding of interpersonal neurobiology and the development of emotional and social intelligence through attunement and resonance are central. We will explore different attachment styles in children and adults and delineate specific tools for resourcing, resolving and repatterining attachment trauma in newborns, children and adults. Duration: 8.15
To buy module individually

MODULE TWO: PRECONCEPTION AND CONCEPTION JOURNEY

Early Developmental 2 The embryology and imprinting in this period is delineated and related to attachment /self regulation and co-regulation. We will discuss skills of orienting, tracking and titrating autonomic nervous system cycling, modulating therapeutic pace, and recognizing the therapeutic leading edge. Establishing healthy differentiation and connection within a clear boundary structure will be part of the module. To buy module individually. Duration 4.58

MODULE THREE: VAGINAL BIRTH

Early Developmental 3 This module includes the vaginal birth process, birth stages, pelvic types, cranial molding, birth movement patterns and an introduction to complications. We will outline simple yet effective ways for babies, children, and adults to heal from difficult vaginal births. Participants will be encouraged to explore their own birth passage. To buy module individually. Duration 4.20

MODULE FOUR: CHEMICAL AND SURGICAL IMPRINTING DURING BIRTH

Early Developmental 4 A minority of babies in our culture are currently birthed with no chemical or surgical interventions. Chemical imprinting includes prenatal drug exposure, anaesthesia, analgesics, and induction drugs. Surgical imprinting refers to forceps, vacuum extraction, cesarean section, and other prenatal and infant surgery. We will explore the effects of chemical imprinting on the natural birthing process.
As well, Myrna will delineate the effects of surgical and chemical imprinting on prenates and babies’ psyches, movement patterns, physical structure, energy patterns and the central and autonomic nervous systems. Healing tools will be discussed. To buy module individually Duration 4.45

MODULE FIVE: LIFE, DEATH, LOSS and DOUBLE BINDS

Double bind imprints create the most complex dynamics in the pre and perinatal period. They amplify counter transference/transference issues and complications in facilitating families, couples and groups. In this module we will explore ancestral influences on individuation/connection, and merging dynamics (in pre and perinatal work we call this ‘twin dynamics’). Twin embryonic and placental development, and prenatal twin loss are correlated with twin behavior later in life. An extensive home project will be suggested for everyone. Treatment models will be explored. To buy module individually Duration 5.18

For students with Pre and Perinatal Education, modules 6-13 will expand your knowledge base.

MODULE SIX: COUPLES, FROM AN ATTACHMENT PERSPECTIVE

Early Developmental 6 We are just beginning to understand the dynamics of long term couple relationships. The last decade has given us new knowledge about the psychobiological processes and the reciprocity of early developmental relational experiences and our developing brain. Attachment theory and the neuroscience of emotional connection is shedding new light in this mysterious arena. This Module delineates the dynamics of couples interaction and suggests effective tools for working with these issues. To buy module individually. Duration 6.09

MODULE SEVEN: INFANTS AND THEIR FAMILIES
